A key condition for earning the Green Key label is awareness raising. We will be grateful if you follow the advice, and by doing so help us protect the environment. We will take them into account as much as possible, or forward them to the relevant institutions.<\/p>\n Thank you sincerely for your understanding and kindness.<\/strong><\/p>\n To maintain a satisfactory quality of life, a person uses on average 80 litres of drinking water per day<\/strong>. In Slovenia, we use 130 to 200 litres of drinking water per household member per day<\/strong>. A single toilet flush uses 2 to 8 litres<\/strong> of clean drinking water, and for cooking an average Slovenian household uses 6 litres<\/strong> of drinking water per day.<\/p>\n We are proud to host you in a place where tap water is drinkable. In Slovenia, we drink exceptionally clean, high-quality water. Please help yourself, and cheers.<\/p>\n We sort waste according to the instructions. We always dispose of waste in the appropriate bins and never in nature or down drains. Waste disposed of in this way pollutes groundwater and other sources of drinking water.<\/p>\n Please make an effort to take waste to the correct separate bins.<\/p>\n Plastic is a major threat, to the environment and to human health. In Slovenia, in 2017<\/strong> we produced 987,151 tonnes<\/strong> of municipal waste, or 478 kg per person<\/strong>. Each year, an individual in Slovenia uses 100 to 300 plastic bags<\/strong>, which are typically used for only a few minutes to one hour. As the world produces more and more plastic, and 6.4 million tonnes per year<\/strong> ends up in the environment, plastic particles and substances that enter animals\u2019 bodies and our own have a significant impact on our health.<\/p>\n Please try to avoid single-use plastic products.<\/p>\n We use energy-efficient LED bulbs. We turn off lights when we do not need them. This helps reduce electricity consumption and protects the environment.<\/p>\n Our house has high-quality insulation and energy-efficient windows. We keep doors and windows closed. In summer, this prevents spaces from overheating, so additional cooling is not necessary. This effectively reduces our carbon footprint.<\/p>\n Please ventilate rooms briefly in the morning and in the evening.<\/p>\n The natural and cultural heritage in our area is exceptional. Visit it, discover it, experience it, and taste it. Information about sights, experiences, gastronomy, and local customs is available at our information point at reception. If you need additional information, please ask our friendly staff.<\/p>\n Our region is ideal for cycling and hiking. Every trip or sightseeing tour you do by bicycle or on foot, instead of by car, is an environmentally friendly action. Have you ever thought about how differently we get to know a place when we visit it on foot or by bike? Up close, we truly feel it, smell it, hear it. We open ourselves to the local people and connect more easily.
