Karst around the corner.

The location allows for slow exploration of the surroundings, while also offering a peaceful retreat into a Karst village.
The Karst as a rhythm
The Karst is not a destination for rushing, but a way of being. Vineyards, dry-stone walls, open views, and paths invite movement without haste – on foot, by bike, or simply by observing the landscape.

The varied plateau, with quiet roads and gravel tracks, is ideal for cycling. Routes connect Karst villages, the edges of the plateau, and viewpoints stretching towards the sea. The best seasons for cycling are spring and autumn.
For route suggestions, difficulty levels, and seasonal information, we recommend the destination’s official portal:

The sea and nearby urban centres are within a short drive:
– Trieste – approx. 25 minutes by car
– Sistiana – approx. 20 minutes by car
Ideal for a seaside stroll, morning coffee, or an evening break.
– Štanjel – approx. 10 minutes by car; perfect for a short walk through stone streets and a stop at the Ferrari Garden

The Karst underground offers a different experience of place:

The Karst is not a place of haste. Here, life follows the rhythm of nature, and peace and time take on a different meaning.
