In December, it will be 48 years since we first opened Špacapanova hiša. This place has seen many smiles and full bellies through the years. In the last two years, the changes were particularly intense, as we furnished new rooms in the attic, renovated the façade and entered the JRE family. Our loyalty to the Karst and our commitment to tradition, the essence of our menu, remain unchanged.

Some time has passed since December but that’s all right! Unforeseeable circumstances during the pandemic have only postponed our celebration! We don’t just give up on celebration here!

48TH BIRTHDAY

It’s been 48 years. Špacapanova hiša is celebrating an important birthday this year, as we are slowly approaching our 50th birthday! We would like to celebrate with you, so we have prepared a very special event.

TRADITIONAL KARST CUISINE

Despite all the changes some things remain the same! Tradition and Karst are our main inspirations. For our 48th birthday, you will be treated with an extended culinary experience, accompanied by the wines of our friend and winemaker Marko Fon. Špacapan family is very honored that Mr. Fon will be presenting his wines exclusively for this occasion.

MARKO FON AND HIS MAGNUMS

Mr. Fon’s wines are indigenous, natural and traditional. He is a winemaker who cultivates his own vineyards and only sells wine when he is 100% sure of the it’s quality! The vines are both ingenius and simple. Characteristics of Karst are shown in their minerality, freshness and sweetness.
