Dear friends, we are happy to invite you to join us at our social and culinary event. After a long break, we have once again organised a traditional “koline” (pig slaughter) for you. For this year’s event, we have collaborated with Kletvica – the natural wine online shop – and several local winemakers. Apart from the pig slaughter, we will celebrate the 49th birthday of the Špacapan House. Join us in this merry celebration!

WHEN, WHERE, WHAT and WHO – KOLINE 2022

We will meet in the Špacapan House in Komen on Friday, 16th December 2022, at 5 pm. With our traditional dishes, the guest winemakers’ wine and the Ansambl Ikebana’s music, we will enjoy this authentic “koline” experience and dance the night away.

GREAT COMPANY, LOCAL WINE PRODUCERS and TRADITIONAL FOOD

Our plates will be filled with traditional dishes – the same as our grandparents would eat at the pig slaughter. The Špacapan team will work together with the winemakers and the Kletvica shop to prepare these tasty dishes for you: prosciutto from free-range Krškopolje pig, dry-cured for at least 36 months, wild boar prosciutto, dried pork loin, pancetta, local salami, pork cracklings, brawn, cheeses from the Karst, tongue with onions and horseradish, bean soup, “krodegina” (pig skin sausage) in coal, liver, crispy polenta with sausage and blood sausage with turnip, coal oven roasted kid with potatoes and vegetables, and sour dough bread. For dessert, we will have “štruklji” (rolled dumplings) a la Špacapan.

For the merry celebration, we will be joined by these winemakers, who will show us not only their wines, but also their cooking skills: FEDORA, ŠTEMBERGER, SVARUN (Swine shop), UOU, KUKANJA, ŠVARA, and AGO (Špacapan’s house).

The event will be relaxed; we will be standing up and dancing. The food, the wine, the merry company and the Ikebana band will make for a truly great “koline” party!

If you would like to join us, be quick to make a reservation at info@spacapan.si. The number of places is limited. The price is €100 per person, and it includes the food, the drinks and the party. For all who do not like to drive, there are rooms available at our House.
